Before making just about any purchase today, consumers will go online to find reviews and check what people are saying about that product before they actually buy it. And the larger the purchase, the more research customers will.

When they do that research, they’ll be looking for companies and/or products that have the best reviews, as it’s easy to assume that these are the best on the market.

When products or companies have bad reviews, customers will likely steer clear from them for fear that they’ll have the same negative experience. Likewise, customers will also stay away from companies or products that can’t be found online at all.

When people aren’t saying anything about you, customers then don’t know what to expect, don’t know if people have already tried you out, and are cautious about being the first ones to do so.

The good news is that it’s easy to manage your online reputation and once you know how to do it, it can be whatever you want it to be.
